Dialysis Clinic, Inc. (DCI) is hiring a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to support dialysis treatment and collaborate with the care team in a nonprofit mission-driven setting.

The role emphasizes patient education, infection control, and precise monitoring of vital signs and machine readings. DCI offers paid training, comprehensive health benefits, life and disability coverage, PTO including holidays, retirement matching, and education reimbursement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Healthcare experience is preferred but not required.
• CNA, EMT, medical assistant, CNT or phlebotomy skills are desired.
• DCI provides a 3-month comprehensive education program with classroom sessions and hands-on training.
• Dialysis experience is not required; job shadow opportunities are available.

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in infection control, risk management and patient education activities.
• Guide new patients through a 120-day education plan.
• Obtain and record patient vital signs and machine readings during treatment.
• Role under RN supervision.
• Set up and break down dialysis blood system for treatment.
• Insert and remove patient access needles.
• Monitor patients during dialysis, document changes and inform charge nurse of any concerns.
• Calculate patient weight loss to reach dry weight.
• Determine patient care priorities and organize workload accordingly.
• Maintain professional working relationship, observing patient privacy and rights.
• Maintain and track inventory.
• Perform laboratory work.
