Dialysis Clinic, Inc. is seeking a Patient Care Technician to assist the dialysis team in providing safe, high-quality care to patients with end-stage renal disease.

The role supports the treatment process under RN supervision and involves setup, monitoring, and documentation during dialysis sessions. Full-time shifts begin early mornings (4:30am–5am) with Sundays off; training is paid and comprehensive, with strong emphasis on patient education and infection control.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CNA, EMT, medical assistant, CNT and/or phlebotomy skills desired.
• DCI provides a 3-month comprehensive education program, including classroom group sessions and one-on-one skills training.
• Dialysis experience not required, job shadow opportunities available.

Responsabilidades

• Actively participate in infection control, risk management and patient education activities.
• Guide new patients through 120-day education plan.
• Obtain and record patient vital signs and machine readings during treatment.
• Role under RN supervision.
• Set up and break down dialysis blood system for treatment.
• Insert and remove patient access needles.
• Monitor patients during dialysis, document changes and inform charge nurse of any concerns.
• Calculate patient’s weight loss to reach dry weight.
• Determine patient care priorities and organize workload accordingly.
• Maintain professional working relationship, observing patient privacy and rights.
• Maintain and track inventory.
• Perform laboratory work.
