Job summary

Dialysis Clinic, Inc. in Carson City is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to support the dialysis team in delivering prescribed treatments to patients with end-stage renal disease. This role participates in infection control, patient education, and recording vital signs under RN supervision.

The position is per-diem with pay ranging from $20 to $28 per hour, based on experience. DCI provides a 3‑month education program, paid training, competitive benefits, Sundays off, and a mission-driven

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Healthcare experience preferred but not required.
• CNA, EMT, medical assistant, CNT and/or phlebotomy skills desired.

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in infection control, risk management and patient education activities
• Guide new patients through 120-day education plan
• Obtain and record patient vital signs and machine readings during treatment
• Role under RN supervision
• Set up and break down dialysis blood system for treatment
• Insert and remove patient access needles
• Monitor patients during dialysis, document changes and inform charge nurse of any concerns
• Calculate patient's weight loss to reach dry weight
• Determine patient care priorities and organize work load accordingly
• Maintain professional working relationship, observing patient privacy and rights
• Maintain and track inventory
• Perform laboratory work
