Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care (Schweiz) AG in the United States is seeking an entry-level Registered Nurse CAP 1 for the Outpatient CAP path. You will contribute to the clinical advancement program, coordinating care for an assigned patient group within the dialysis setting and collaborating with RNs, LVN/LPNs and patient care technicians.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current state RN licensure.
• Current CPR/BLS Certification.
• Must meet nursing practice requirements in the state of employment.
• Entry level for RNs with less than 2 years of Nephrology nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs essential functions under supervision and guidance of the Clinical Educator or Supervisor.
• Collects and analyzes patient data during hemodialysis and documents in the medical record; adjusts care as needed.
• Educates patients and families about care plans and dialysis options.
• Delivers safe, effective hemodialysis therapy in collaboration with the care team.
• Performs/assists with medication administration per protocol and documents justification.
• Participates in staff training and orientation for new personnel.
• Ensures proper lab collection, processing, and documentation; coordinates with Interdisciplinary Team.
