Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking a professional registered nurse for the Outpatient RN CAP 2 role. You will provide and coordinate nursing care, assess patient needs, plan interventions, and evaluate outcomes for an assigned group of patients within the End Stage Kidney Disease care team.

As a leader and mentor, you may guide other staff, participate in quality improvement, and ensure compliance with policy and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current appropriate state licensure.
• Current or successful CPR BLS Certification.
• Minimum 2 years of Nephrology Nursing experience (entry level for RN CAP 2)

Responsibilities

• Performs data collection and analysis of patient data during dialysis and documents in the patient record.
• Assesses patient/family learning needs and provides education.
• Delivers safe and effective hemodialysis therapy and administers medications as prescribed.
• Directs and mentors new staff as a Preceptor when assigned.
• Collaborates with inter-disciplinary team and notifies physician or supervisor as needed.
