Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking an entry-level Registered Nurse for the CAP 1 program to provide and coordinate clinically competent care for an assigned patient group undergoing hemodialysis. The role includes assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, with delegation to nursing staff as needed.

Responsibilities include data collection, education for patients and families, administration of medications, and collaboration with the Interdisciplinary Team to update care plans.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current appropriate state licensure.
• Current or successful CPR BLS Certification.
• Must meet the practice requirements in the state in which employed.

Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze patient data pre-, during-, and post-hemodialysis; document in the medical record.
• Administer medications as prescribed or per approved algorithms; document justification and effectiveness.
• Direct daily safe and effective delivery of hemodialysis therapy with staff collaboration.
• Provide education to patients and family; update care plans with Interdisciplinary Team.
• Assist with emergency response measures as needed.
