Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in Livingston, NJ, is seeking an entry-level RN to join the Clinical Advancement Program (CAP) as Outpatient RN CAP 1. This role provides and coordinates clinically competent care, including assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation for an assigned group of dialysis patients.

Under supervision, you will document patient data, adjust care plans, educate patients and families, administer medications, and participate in emergency response and quality improvement

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current appropriate state licensure.
• Current CPR BLS Certification.
• Must meet the practice requirements in the state in which he or she is employed.
• Entry level RN with less than 2 years of Nephrology Nursing experience.
• Chronic/acute hemodialysis experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate clinically competent care for dialysis patients.
• Document patient data pre-during-post hemodialysis and adjust treatment plan as needed.
• Educate patients and families about learning needs related to their care.
• Direct and provide safe delivery of hemodialysis therapy in collaboration with staff.
• Administer prescribed medications and document effectiveness.
• Respond to emergencies and participate in staff training.

Education

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
