Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking an entry-level Outpatient RN CAP 1 to join the Clinical Advancement Program. This role provides and coordinates clinically competent care for an assigned group of patients undergoing hemodialysis, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.

Under supervision, you will collaborate with RNs, LVN/LPNs, and Patient Care Technicians, contribute to teaching and quality improvement, ensure proper lab procedures, and complete CAP requirements to

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current appropriate state licensure.
• Current or successful CPR BLS Certification.

Responsibilities

• Performs essential nursing duties under supervision and with guidance.
• Collects and analyzes patient data during dialysis and adjusts treatment plan as needed.
• Educates patients and families on learning needs.
• Delivers safe hemodialysis therapy with staff collaboration.
• Administers medications per protocol and documents effectiveness.
• Initiates emergency response measures.
• Supports training and orientation of staff.
• Ensures proper lab collection and processing.
• Updates nursing assessment and plan of care with the Interdisciplinary Team.
• Discusses transplant and treatment modality options.
