Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking an entry-level Registered Nurse for the Outpatient CAP 1 program. You will provide and coordinate clinically competent care, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation for an assigned patient group in a dialysis setting.

Qualifications

• Entry-level RN with nephrology nursing focus and potential for CAP advancement.
• Chronic/acute hemodialysis experience is preferred but not required for entry.
• Strong patient education and care coordination abilities desired.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate clinically competent care including assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation.
• Document data collection and updates to the nursing care plan for assigned patients.
• Educate patients and families about care needs and treatment options.
• Deliver safe and effective hemodialysis therapy in collaboration with care team.
• Administer medications as prescribed and follow approved algorithms.
• Respond to emergencies and assist with crisis situations as needed.
• Serve as a resource and participate in staff training and orientation.
• Ensure proper laboratory collection procedures and scheduling as required.
• Maintain communication with interdisciplinary team to achieve expected outcomes.
