Job summary

HCA Healthcare, Inc. is seeking a Clinical Nurse Coordinator for St. David’s HealthCare in Austin, TX. This RN leadership role oversees unit functions, directs nursing care, and collaborates with management to deliver high-quality patient outcomes.

You will participate in staff development, performance evaluations, and policy adherence while maintaining a patient-first approach within a busy dialysis environment.

Qualifications

• ACLS within 6 months of start date
• BCLS within 30 days of start date
• RN credential (Registered Nurse)
• Associate degree required

Responsibilities

• Assists with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high quality, patient-centered care.
• Participates in ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services in the unit, with management collaboration.
• Collaborates with subject matter experts and managers to foster teamwork for improved outcomes.
• Supports a patient-first philosophy and engages in service recovery when needed.
• Supports efforts to improve engagement by implementing nursing strategies like hourly rounds and staff rounding.
• Provides input on interviewing, selection, and training of new staff and actions to ensure organizational excellence.
• Assists with staff scheduling and manages labor in line with patient care needs and productivity guidelines.
• Supports inventory control and assists with supplies and equipment management
