Job summary

St. David's North Austin Medical Center, part of St. David's HealthCare, is seeking a Clinical Nurse Coordinator to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care and coordinate all unit functions during shifts.

You will collaborate with the management team to monitor nursing care, support staff, and optimize throughput while maintaining policy compliance and staff development initiatives.

Qualifications

• RN with active license and BLS/ACLS/Trauma-Care credentials as required.
• Licensure and certifications must be obtained within defined timeframes.
• Experience in acute care nursing and unit coordination required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate unit care during shift to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.
• Collaborate with management to direct nursing care and staff resources.
• Assist with admissions/discharges for efficient throughput and patient satisfaction.
• Support staff selection, training, and performance evaluation processes.
• Oversee staff scheduling and inventory management for supplies and equipment.
• Promote a patient-first philosophy and engage in service recovery when needed.
