Job summary

U.S. Renal Care in Cincinnati is seeking an experienced RN Charge Nurse to oversee nursing services on each shift and serve as a nursing supervisor. You will supervise staff, ensure efficient dialysis-related care, and collaborate with the Medical Director and physicians.

Responsibilities include coordinating patient rounds, documenting therapy, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, and orienting new staff. Strong leadership, communication, and clinical judgment are essential.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in applicable state.
• 12 months experience in providing nursing care, including 3 months on maintenance dialysis.
• CPR certification required within 90 days of hire.
• Ability to distinguish all primary colors.
• Demonstrated leadership and sound judgment in emergent situations.
• Proficient English communication, verbal and written.
• Basic computer skills; proficiency in USRC clinical applications within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Oversee nursing services each shift and supervise staff.
• Assist with clinical and operational processes to improve patient health and minimize hospitalizations.
• Administer medications as ordered and document accurately.
• Assist physician during rounds and implement physician orders timely.
• Coordinate anemia management and dialysis protocols as requested.
• Respond to emergencies in the clinic and maintain compliance with laws and regulations.
• Communicate patient assessment results to physicians and team members.
• Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and orientation of new staff.
