Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or G.E.D. required.
• CMS/state certification requirements within the required state.
• Previous patient care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate hemodialysis machines.
• Monitor vital signs and document treatments.
• Assess vascular access patency and cannulation.
• Administer heparin as delegated or allowed by state law.
• Maintain infection control and environmental safety between treatments.
• Educate patients regarding adequacy measures and disease process.
