Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking a Dialysis Technician to join our clinical team. The role involves setup and operation of hemodialysis machines, monitoring patient status, and ensuring safety and accuracy of treatment data.

You will collaborate with RNs and other healthcare staff to deliver high‑quality dialysis care, maintain infection control, and participate in CQI activities while supporting patient education and comfort during treatments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CMS-approved state/national certification within the required timeline.
• All appropriate state licensure, education, and training required.
• Dialysis training and CPR certification may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in setup and operation of hemodialysis machines.
• Monitor vital signs, weight, and dialysis parameters during treatment.
• Evaluate vascular access patency and manage cannulation as delegated.
• Record treatment data accurately on the Hemodialysis Treatment Sheet.
• Apply safety alarms and monitor for unusual patient status.
• Maintain a clean, safe treatment area and properly disinfect equipment.
• Support CQI activities and assist in staff training as needed.
• Prepare initial patient chart and collect prescribed specimens as required.
