Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking a dedicated dialysis technician to support the health care team under licensed nurse supervision. You will assist in the setup and operation of hemodialysis machines and help maintain a safe, clean work environment.

You will document vital signs, weight, and treatment parameters, participate in CQI activities, and support patient education on adequacy measures such as online clearance monitoring and urea kinetic modeling where applicable.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or G.E.D. is required.
• CMS/state certification requirements must be met.
• All appropriate state licensure, education, and training are required.
• Previous patient care experience in a hospital setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in setup and operation of hemodialysis machines.
• Welcome patients and monitor wellbeing during treatment.
• Record vital signs, weight and treatment parameters; document accordingly.
• Evaluate vascular access, administer heparin as delegated or allowed by state law.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and adhere to infection control practices.
• Report changes to the RN or supervisor and document interventions.
