Job summary

Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a Market Development Specialist to expand clinical adoption of Precision Diagnostics solutions. You will identify healthcare providers, prioritize accounts, and engage them both virtually and in person to communicate the clinical value of testing and drive adoption.

You'll monitor adoption, develop new commercial opportunities, and collaborate across Thermo Fisher sales, marketing, and lab partners to accelerate growth in priority markets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required.
• Minimum of three years of successful experience in laboratory, diagnostics, medical device, pharmaceutical, healthcare sales, business development, market development, or related commercial role.
• Experience with engaging healthcare providers and influencing adoption or ordering behavior.
• Experience identifying, prioritizing, and developing commercial opportunities.
• Knowledge of primary care, specialty care, health systems, IDNs, ACOs, FQHCs, or reference laboratories preferred.
• Experience using Salesforce or similar CRM tools.

Responsibilities

• Identify, prioritize, and develop healthcare providers, accounts, and markets with potential for commercial growth using available data.
• Engage healthcare providers virtually and in person to communicate the clinical value of diagnostic testing and influence adoption.
• Maintain provider engagement beyond initial interactions, addressing barriers and advancing opportunities.
• Drive changes in provider ordering behavior toward sFLC and/or panel utilization.
• Expand adoption across clinicians within targeted practices, centers, and healthcare organizations.
• Develop and grow market share through increased provider adoption and targeted growth initiatives.
• Identify and develop new commercial opportunities across health systems, IDNs, FQHCs, primary and specialty care.
• Identify commercial whitespace and emerging segments, contributing to strategy.
• Manage a defined book of business and build partnerships with reference laboratories and Thermo Fisher teams.
• Use data to monitor adoption, identify growth opportunities, and adjust engagement strategies.
