Qualifications

• Proven ability to operate ultrasound equipment and obtain diagnostic images.
• Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and imaging protocols.
• Understanding of patient safety and exam documentation.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates excellent customer service; promotes positive inter/intradepartmental communications.
• Operate ultrasound equipment and adjust controls to obtain diagnostic images per specifications.
• Maintain knowledge of procedures and apply cross-sectional anatomy to identify pathology.
• Identify patient information; perform routine and specialized imaging procedures.
• Communicate with supervisor; support patient throughput and teamwork.
• Operate and maintain exam rooms and equipment; perform quality checks.
• Recognize findings requiring immediate clinical response and transfer images to PACS.
• Ensure compliance with JC, MQSA, ACR and DPH/CMS requirements.
