Qualifications

• Completion of a one- or two-year program or certified training course, followed by certification examination.
• Ultrasound training, involving new diagnostic equipment and techniques is received on the job.
• Registry with the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) is required.
• Must be proficient in the English language.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates competency, individually and as part of the multidisciplinary team, in performing clinical care and assessment of all patient populations.
• Maintains workstations and equipment.
• Greets patients and confirms patient identification.
• Assists in the ordering of supplies.
• Enhances professional growth.
• Preserves and protects patient rights to confidentiality.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned or requested.
