Job description

Oregon Imaging Centers is currently looking for a Diagnostic Technologist to join our outpatient clinic in Eugene, Oregon. This position will perform a variety of exams in a fast-paced environment. Qualifications:

  • Completion of a certified Radiologic program
  • Prefer one year experience in field of imaging modalities
  • Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality diagnostic images while providing exceptional patient care
  • ARRT, Registered Radiologic Technologist
  • Licensed in the State of Oregon; OBMI certification
  • CPR Certified

Responsibilities:

  • Prepares images for interpretation by a Radiologist including annotation, validating quality, labeling and processing/scanning all paperwork in a timely manner.
  • Perform and/or assists with radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures according to approved department protocols.
  • Reviews patient questionnaire and request for physician notes and/or special instructions. Consults with Radiologists, patients, and physician's offices, when necessary, to assure appropriateness.
  • Reviews images for positioning, technique, identification and validates quality. Demonstrates complete working knowledge of all radiographic equipment within the department, including all sites.
  • Adjusts technical factors in proportion to patient and body part being examined while minimizing radiation.
  • Practices techniques and applies appropriate devices as required for safety.
  • Assists in training and guidance of radiology students.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Physical Abilities:

Requires frequent standing, bending, stooping and occasional lifting of up to 40 pounds. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard and other various office equipment. Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare and communicate appropriate reports.
