Job summary

ETAS is seeking a Customer Solutions Engineer to drive growth in Manufacturing Diagnostics from its Plymouth, MI site. The role combines technical advisory, pre-sales support, and close collaboration with customers, sales, and product management to shape solutions and roadmaps.

You will lead market opportunity identification, assist in product demonstrations (e.g., VCATS), define user requirements, and oversee on-site deployment and QA of diagnostic solutions, with up to 50% travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Automotive Engineering, Computer Science and Technology, Software Engineering, Electrical or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the automotive industry.
• Strong understanding of vehicle diagnostics and automotive protocols.
• Experience with Agile/Lean methodologies is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and drive new business opportunities within Manufacturing Diagnostics.
• Assist sales with pre-sales activities and technical demonstrations.
• Clarify customer requirements and translate them into technical solutions and backlog.
• Oversee on-site deployment, testing, and QA of hardware/software solutions.
