Job summary

MercyOne North Iowa is seeking a Sonographer to perform ultrasound examinations across OB/GYN, abdominal, breast and other areas. The role includes assisting radiologists, guiding students, and maintaining patient records.

Qualified candidates will be ARDMS registered or board-eligible with plans to obtain certification within a year, and must maintain active registry status with CME requirements. A 40-hour work week, day shift, and sign-on bonus are included.

Qualifications

• Registered ARDMS (RDMS/RDCS/RVT/RMSKS) or board-eligible and must become registered within one year.
• Maintains active ARDMS registry status (CME 30 every 3 years).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days of hire and renewed every 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Perform Ultrasound exams including OB/GYN, abdominal, breast, small parts, and other related Ultrasound procedures as necessary on scheduled or emergent basis and maintains related records
• Provide general assistance to the radiologist in interpreting studies; provide technical instruction to students and hospital staff
