Job summary

MercyOne Clinton Medical Center in Clinton, IA, is seeking a Sonographer to join our imaging team. The role involves performing ultrasound exams (OB/GYN, abdominal, breast, and more), assisting radiologists, and teaching students and staff. The schedule is 40 hours per week, Days, Monday through Friday.

Candidates must be ARDMS-registered (RDMS/RDCS/RVT/RMSKS) or board-eligible with ARDMS registration within one year; ARDMS preferred with ARRT/CCI accepted. BLS required within 30 days.

Qualifications

• Must be ARDMS registered with one of the following: RDMS, RDCS, RVT, RMSKS.
• If not registered, board-eligible and must become ARDMS registered within one year of hire.
• ARDMS preferred but ARRT or CCI accepted.
• Maintains active ARDMS registry status (CME requirements).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days of hire and every 2 years thereafter.

Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound exams including OB/GYN, abdominal, breast, small parts, and related procedures on scheduled or emergent basis.
• Provide general assistance to the radiologist in interpreting studies.
• Provide technical instruction to students and hospital staff.
