Job summary

MercyOne Clinton Medical Center in Clinton, IA seeks a Sonographer to perform ultrasound exams (OB/GYN, abdominal, breast, small parts) and support radiologists in interpretation. The role includes technical instruction to students and staff, with a focus on quality patient care and adherence to Trinity Health standards.

The position offers a full-time schedule, day shift, and a sign-on bonus up to $20,000.

Qualifications

• Must be ARDMS registered with one of the following: RDMS, RDCS, RVT, RMSKS, or board-eligible with ARDMS registration within one year of hire.
• ARDMS preferred but ARRT or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) also accepted.
• Keeps ARDMS registry active (30 CME’s every 3 years/annual payment).
• Child and Dependent Adult Abuse Mandatory Reporter Training required within 6 months of hire and every 3 years.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days of hire and every 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Perform Ultrasound exams including OB/GYN, abdominal, breast, small parts, and other related Ultrasound procedures as necessary on scheduled or emergent basis and maintains related records.
• Provide general assistance to the radiologist in interpreting studies.
• Provide technical instruction to students and hospital staff.
