Job summary

Duke Health's Duke University Hospital in Durham, NC seeks a skilled ultrasound technologist to operate sonographic equipment and perform diagnostic studies using abdominal, vascular, OB‑GYN, and interventional protocols. You will document results, communicate findings to the Radiologist, and support patient comfort and safety throughout exams.

The role is 3x12 hour shifts (Fri–Sun, 6:30pm–7am). This position is eligible for a $3,000 relocation allowance and a $15,000 commitment bonus.

Qualifications

• ARDMS certification required within 18 months of hire.
• RDMS and RVT certifications preferred.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Performs clinical assessment and diagnostic ultrasound examinations.
• Exams include abdominal, vascular, OB‑GYN, infant head/hip/spine and interventional procedures.
• Identifies, records, and adapts procedures based on anatomy and findings.
• Communicates findings to the Radiologist and collaborates with care team.
• Assists with daily operations and maintains equipment and supplies.
• May train ultrasound students during clinical rotations.
