Job summary

Duke Health in Durham, NC seeks a Diagnostic Sonographer for a third-shift weekend option. You will operate ultrasound equipment, perform diagnostic examinations across abdominal, vascular, ob-gyn and more, and communicate findings to the Radiologist.

This on-site role offers a relocation lump sum of $3,000 and a $15,000 commitment bonus. ARDMS certification within 18 months, RDMS and RVT preferred, and BLS certification are required; there are career ladder opportunities within imaging services.

Qualifications

• ARDMS certification within 18 months of hire.
• RDMS and RVT certifications preferred.
• BLS certification is required.
• Education should meet eligibility for registry/certification.

Responsibilities

• Operate ultrasound equipment and perform diagnostic exams across multiple modalities.
• Communicate findings to the Radiologist and document results.
• Ensure patient safety, comfort, and dignity during procedures.
• Maintain equipment, supplies and department cleanliness.
• Assist in training ultrasound students during clinical rotations.
