Job summary

UW Health in Rockford, IL is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner to join SwedishAmerican hospital on a PRN/needed basis. The schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:00am–5:00pm, with no weekends or holidays.

The candidate must graduate from an AMA-accredited Respiratory Care program, hold an Illinois Registered Respiratory Care Practitioner license, and be NBRC-credentialed as an RRT. BLS/CPR certification is required, and CPFT or RPFT is preferred and should be obtained within 1 year of hire.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA accredited educational program for Respiratory Care is required.
• Current Illinois licensure as a Registered Respiratory Care Practitioner is required.
• NBRC RRT credential is required.
• BLS/CPR certification is required.
• CPFT or RPFT certification preferred; must be obtained within 1 year of hire.

Work Experience

• 1 year experience with Pulmonary Function Diagnostics. Preferred
• 2 years experience in Respiratory Care, including ICU. Preferred

Licenses & Certifications

• Current licensure from the State of Illinois as a Registered Respiratory Care Practitioner. Required
• BLS/CPR Certified. Required
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Credentialed by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC). Required
• Current CPFT or RPFT certification preferred; must be obtained within 1 year of hire. Preferred
