Job summary

UW Health SwedishAmerican Hospital in Rockford, IL is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for full-time night shifts (3 12-hour shifts per week), 1830–0700, with rotating weekends and holidays. Required: graduate of a CoARC-accredited program; RRT registered; Illinois license within 90 days of hire; BLS/CPR; PALS within two years; NRP preferred; 1 year of RCP experience preferred.

• Current Registration (RRT) from the National Board of Respiratory Care as a Registered Respiratory Therapist. Required
• License from the State of Illinois as a Respiratory Care Practitioner within 90 days of hire. Required
• Basic Life Support/CPR Certification. Required
• NRP certification. Preferred
• PALS certification required within two years of hire. Required
• 1 year At least one year experience working as a Respiratory Care Practitioner. Preferred

Work Schedule

90% FTE, full-time. Night shift, 3 12-hour shifts/week, 1830-0700. Rotating weekends and holidays. You will work at the UW Health SwedishAmerican Hospital.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Commission of Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC) Accredited Program for Respiratory Therapy. Required

Work Experience

• 1 year At least one year experience working as a Respiratory Care Practitioner. Preferred

Licenses & Certifications

• Current Registration (RRT credential) from the National Board of Respiratory Care as a Registered Respiratory Therapist. Required
• License from the State of Illinois as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (within 90 days of passing test for new grads). Required
• Basic Life Support/CPR Certification. Required
• NRP certification. Preferred
• PALS certification required within two years of hire date. Required
