Qualifications

• Graduate of a Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology is required.
• ARRT-R registry within 6 months is required for new graduates.
• Hires after a specified date must complete steps to advance to level 2 within 24 months.

Responsibilities

• Obtain correct patient orders and identify patients; prepare for exams while maintaining confidentiality.
• Apply imaging protocols, optimize technical factors, and use ALARA to maximize patient safety.
• Prepare and administer medications via vascular access as prescribed.
• Evaluate images for quality, positioning, and verify data transfer and storage.
• Educate and monitor students and healthcare providers.
• Assist licensed practitioners with fluoroscopic and specialized procedures, including outside radiologic settings.

Job description

Role Summary: Radiologic Technologists administer ionizing radiation for diagnostic, therapeutic, or research purposes. They perform a full range of radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures, acquire and analyze imaging data for diagnosis, and assist licensed practitioners. They prepare and document activities related to medications and radiation exposure, ensuring compliance with laws and institutional policies.

Key Responsibilities:
