LiveWell Homecare Agency is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic radiography and fluoroscopy, ensuring high-quality images and patient safety. You will assist licensed practitioners, prepare patients, verify history, and support procedures both in-clinic and in homecare settings.
Requirements include completion of a specialty training program in Radiologic Technology, ARRT-R registry within 6 months for new grads, and adherence to federal/state regulations.
Role Overview: Radiologic Technologists perform diagnostic, therapeutic, or research procedures involving ionizing radiation. They independently execute radiographic and fluoroscopic exams, ensuring accurate data acquisition for diagnosis and assisting licensed practitioners as needed. Responsibilities include preparing patients, verifying clinical history, optimizing imaging protocols with safety principles like ALARA, administering medications via vascular access, evaluating image quality, and ensuring proper data storage. They also educate and monitor students and healthcare providers, and assist with procedures outside the Radiology Department, such as in the operating room or ICU.
Qualifications & Skills: Must graduate from a Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred. New graduates should obtain ARRT-R registry within 6 months. Applicants hired after a specified date must progress to level 2 within 24 months. The role requires adherence to federal and state regulations, excellent technical skills, attention to patient safety, and ability to work in a clinical environment.
