• Obtain correct patient orders, verify identity, and prepare patients for exams, respecting confidentiality.
• Utilize imaging protocols, optimize technical factors, and ensure safety.
• Evaluate images for quality, verify data transfer, and perform post-processing as needed.
• Educate and monitor students and healthcare providers.
• Assist licensed practitioners with fluoroscopic and specialized procedures, including outside the Radiology Department.

Radiologic Technologists perform diagnostic, therapeutic, or research imaging procedures using ionizing radiation. They independently carry out radiographic and fluoroscopic exams, ensuring patient safety and optimal image quality while adhering to ALARA principles. The role includes preparing patients, administering medications via vascular access when prescribed, and documenting radiation activities in compliance with laws and policies.
