Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Current ARRT certification required.
• Current Kansas Radiologic Technologist licensure or eligibility for licensure.
• Current BLS certification.
• Strong knowledge of diagnostic imaging procedures and radiation safety practices.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality diagnostic radiographic imaging procedures according to physician orders.
• Prepare patients for imaging exams by explaining procedures and addressing questions or concerns.
• Position patients accurately to obtain optimal diagnostic images.
• Operate radiology equipment safely and efficiently while following established imaging protocols.
• Ensure compliance with radiation safety standards and ALARA principles.
• Review images for quality and accuracy before submission to the interpreting physician.
• Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation within the electronic medical record.
• Monitor patient condition during imaging procedures and respond appropriately to patient needs.
• Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
• Maintain imaging equipment and report maintenance or repair needs promptly.
• Adhere to hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and infection prevention protocols.
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care throughout every interaction.
