Job summary

ConnectedHealth in Topeka, KS is seeking a Full-time MRI Technologist to perform high-quality MRI exams and ensure patient safety and comfort. You will collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to support accurate diagnoses and maintain documentation in the EMR.

Responsibilities include preparing patients, screening for safety, positioning for optimal images, operating MRI equipment, and performing QA checks.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • Current ARRT certification required.
  • Current Kansas Radiologic Technologist licensure or eligibility.
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
  • Strong knowledge of MRI safety standards and imaging protocols.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and critical thinking skills.
  • ARRT (MR) certification preferred or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

  • Perform high-quality MRI examinations per physician orders and protocols.
  • Prepare and educate patients about MRI procedures, addressing questions.
  • Screen patients for MRI safety and contraindications, including implants.
  • Position patients to obtain optimal diagnostic images.
  • Operate MRI equipment safely and efficiently, maintaining image quality.
  • Monitor patients throughout imaging procedures for comfort and safety.
  • Recognize and respond to emergency situations appropriately.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation in EMR.
  • Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and others to coordinate care.
  • Ensure compliance with MRI safety guidelines, infection prevention, and policies.
  • Perform routine equipment QA checks and report maintenance concerns.
  • Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care during every interaction.
