ConnectedHealth in Topeka, KS is seeking a Radiology Technologist to perform diagnostic radiographic imaging under physician orders, while prioritizing patient safety and comfort.
You will operate digital X-ray equipment, review images for quality, maintain records in the EMR, and collaborate with radiologists and nurses to coordinate patient care. Perform high-quality diagnostic radiographic imaging procedures according to physician orders
Prepare patients for imaging exams by explaining procedures and addressing questions or concerns
Position patients accurately to obtain optimal diagnostic images
Operate radiology equipment safely and efficiently while following established imaging protocols
Ensure compliance with radiation safety standards and ALARA principles
Review images for quality and accuracy before submission to the interpreting physician
Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation within the electronic medical record
Monitor patient condition during imaging procedures and respond appropriately to patient needs
Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
Maintain imaging equipment and report maintenance or repair needs promptly
Adhere to hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and infection prevention protocols
Provide compassionate, patient-centered care throughout every interaction
Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
Current ARRT certification required
Current Kansas Radiologic Technologist licensure or eligibility for licensure
Current BLS certification
Strong knowledge of diagnostic imaging procedures and radiation safety practices
Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team
Hospital-based radiology experience
Experience with digital radiography and PACS systems
Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
Strong attention to detail and commitment to diagnostic image quality
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced clinical environment
Exceptional customer service and patient care skills
Previous radiology experience preferred
