Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an AMA-accredited program with a degree or certificate in Radiographic Technology.
• Certification: ARRT RT(R) or registry-eligible (must register within one year).
• Licensure: Current Kansas Board of Healing Arts license on hire.
• Life Support: BLS certification required.
• Continuing Education: 24 CE credits every 2 years in line with ARRT guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Perform Exams: Prepare patients, position correctly, and take X-rays safely following procedures.
• Manage Images: Process films, ensure lead markers/data, and transfer images to PACS promptly.
• Administer Media: Give contrast media and allowed medications within scope.
• Maintain Safety: Follow radiation safety guidelines and aseptic technique between patients.
