Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Radiology Technologist in Massachusetts to independently perform radiographic exams per department protocols and ACR standards, while maintaining safety and quality. Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Radiology Technology program with registry eligibility.
• Associates degree in Radiology Technology is preferred.
• Minimum of one year of experience is preferred.
• Massachusetts Radiologic Technologist license and ARRT registry eligibility; ARRT certification to be obtained within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Greets, escorts, assesses, educates and ensures patient comfort while following safety and quality checks.
• Performs radiographic exams using ALARA standards.
• Completes imaging exams following established radiology protocols.
• Enters examinations accurately and ensures proper documentation and charges.
• Sends and stores images in PACS.
• Maintains department records and logs for quality and safety.
• Maintains a clean, safe work environment and promotes a culture of safety.
• Coordinates work schedules with supervisor to meet patient and physician needs.
• Transports and assists ambulatory patients as needed.
• Educates patients and families throughout the experience.
• Communicates with the healthcare team using standardized handoff procedures.
• Adheres to infection control protocols and reports near-misses or risks.
