Job summary

Geisinger Health System is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform standardized radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations in a clinical setting, ensuring proper patient positioning, safety, and exposure techniques.

The role requires graduation from a Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology, ARRT certification, and BLS. You will operate modality equipment, assist physicians, participate in QA/QC and educational training of students.

Qualifications

• Graduate from Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology (Required).
• Certification: ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists).
• Basic Life Support cert is required.

Responsibilities

• Performs standardized radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations with proper patient positioning and exposure techniques.
• Operates all equipment within modality and maintains equipment in good working order.
• Reviews patient body size, thickness, age, and condition to determine appropriate exam approach.
• Assists physician with various procedures and documents findings and notes.
• Participates in QA/QC procedures and education of students.

Job Summary: $30,000

Job Duties:

• Performs standardized radiological radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations utilizing proper patient position, identification and exposure techniques.
• Knowledgeable in operation of all equipment within modality.
• Sets up and adjusts immobilization and radiation protective equipment and devices.
• Reviews and analyzes patient body size, thickness, age, physical condition, and suspected pathology in performing examinations.
• Assists physician with various procedures.
• Reports equipment malfunctions and the need for adjustments or repairs.
• Maintains related records and notations.
• Assists in Quality Assurance/Quality Control procedures as required.
• Participates in the educational training of students.
• Works typically in a clinical environment, accountable for satisfying all job specific obligations and complying with all organization policies and procedures.
