Job summary

Geisinger Wyoming Valley radiology team seeks a Radiologic Technologist to perform standardized radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations, ensuring proper patient positioning and exposure techniques. The role requires ARRT certification within 24 months and proficiency with equipment.

You will assist physicians and participate in QA/QC and student training in a clinical setting. Education is a Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology with licensure requirements.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology (Required).
• Certification as Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) within 24 months.

Responsibilities

• Performs standardized radiological radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations with proper patient positioning and exposure techniques.
• Learns and operates all equipment within modality.
• Adjusts immobilization and radiation protection devices as needed.
• Reviews patient size, thickness, age, and condition to tailor examinations.
• Assists physicians during procedures.
• Reports equipment malfunctions and coordinates repairs.
• Maintains records and notations; participates in QA/QC procedures.
• Supports student education and training.

Location: Geisinger Wyoming Valley (GWV) Shift: Evenings (United States of America) Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 Worker Type: Regular Exemption Status: No Job Summary: Sign on bonus for eligible applicants!!!! Responsible for performing a variety of standardized radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations, equipment operation, and for maintaining related records.

Job Duties:

• Performs standardized radiological radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations utilizing proper patient position, identification and exposure techniques.
• Knowledgeable in operation of all equipment within modality.
• Sets up and adjusts immobilization and radiation protective equipment and devices.
• Reviews and analyzes patient body size, thickness, age, physical condition, and suspected pathology in performing examinations.
• Assists physician with various procedures.
• Reports equipment malfunctions and the need for adjustments or repairs.
• Maintains related records and notations.
• Assists in Quality Assurance/Quality Control procedures as required.
• Participates in the educational training of students.
• Work is typically performed in a clinical environment.
• Accountable for satisfying all job specific obligations and complying with all organization policies and procedures.
