Job summary

Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center in Pennsylvania seeks an Radiologic Technologist to perform standardized radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations with proper patient positioning and exposure techniques. The role requires operation of all modality equipment and maintaining related records.

Responsibilities include assisting physicians, arranging immobilization and protective equipment, reviewing patient factors, and participating in QA/QC and student training.

Qualifications

  • Graduate from Specialty Training Program-Radiologic Technology (Required).
  • Certification(s) and License(s): BLS; ARRT certification within 24 months.

Responsibilities

  • Performs radiographic and fluoroscopic exams with proper patient position and exposure.
  • Operates all equipment within modality and maintains equipment records.
  • Sets up immobilization and radiation protective devices as needed.
  • Reviews patient size, age, and condition for examination planning.
  • Assists physician with procedures and documentation.
  • Reports equipment malfunctions and requests for repairs.
  • Maintains related records and notations, and participates in QA/QC.
  • Participates in educational training of students.

Job Summary: Sign on bonus for eligible applicants!!! Responsible for performing a variety of standardized radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations, equipment operation, and for maintaining related records.

Job Duties
  • Performs standardized radiological radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations utilizing proper patient position, identification and exposure techniques.
  • Knowledgeable in operation of all equipment within modality.
  • Sets up and adjusts immobilization and radiation protective equipment and devices.
  • Reviews and analyzes patient body size, thickness, age, physical condition, and suspected pathology in performing examinations.
  • Assists physician with various procedures.
  • Reports equipment malfunctions and the need for adjustments or repairs.
  • Maintains related records and notations.
  • Assists in Quality Assurance/Quality Control procedures as required.
  • Participates in the educational training of students.
  • Work is typically performed in a clinical environment.
  • Accountable for satisfying all job specific obligations and complying with all organization policies and procedures.

Position Details

Education: Graduate from Specialty Training Program-Radiologic Technology (Required)

Experience: Certification(s) and License(s): Basic Life Support Certification - Default Issuing Body, Certified Radiology Technologist within 24 months - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
