Job summary

Geisinger Wyoming Valley is seeking a Radiologic Technologist for the evening shift to perform standardized radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations, operate equipment, and maintain records. The role requires ARRT certification and BLS, with opportunities to assist physicians and participate in QA/QC activities.

Educational candidates must complete a Radiologic Technology program and hold the required licenses.

Qualifications

• Graduate from Specialty Training Program-Radiologic Technology.
• Certification(s) and License(s): ARRT; Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Strong communication and organizational skills; preceptor abilities; radiology proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Perform standardized radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations with proper positioning and exposure techniques.
• Operate radiology equipment safely and efficiently.
• Assist physicians during procedures as needed and maintain related records.

Job Summary: Sign on bonus for eligible applicants!!! Responsible for performing a variety of standardized radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations, equipment operation, and for maintaining related records.

Job Duties: Performs standardized radiological radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations utilizing proper patient position, identification and exposure techniques.

Knowledgeable in operation of all equipment within modality.

Sets up and adjusts immobilization and radiation protective equipment and devices.

Reviews and analyzes patient body size, thickness, age, physical condition, and suspected pathology in performing examinations.

Assists physician with various procedures.

Reports equipment malfunctions and the need for adjustments or repairs.

Maintains related records and notations.

Assists in Quality Assurance/Quality Control procedures as required.

Participates in the educational training of students.

Work is typically performed in a clinical environment.

Accountable for satisfying all job specific obligations and complying with all organization policies and procedures.
