Qualifications

• Graduate from Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology (required).
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (preferred).
• New graduates must obtain ARRT-R registry within 6 months.
• Applicants hired after a specified date must complete steps for advancement within 24 months.

Responsibilities

• Obtain correct patient information, verify identity, and prepare for exams.
• Use imaging protocols, optimize technical factors, apply ALARA principles.
• Prepare and administer medications as prescribed, documenting activities.
• Evaluate images for quality, ensure proper positioning, and handle data storage or transfer.
• Educate and monitor students and healthcare providers.
• Assist practitioners with fluoroscopic and specialized procedures, including outside the Radiology Department (e.g., OR, ICU).
