Qualifications

• Graduate of a Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology required.
• New graduates must obtain ARRT-R registration within six months.
• Applicants hired after a specified date are required to advance to level 2 within 24 months.

Responsibilities

• Obtain correct patient identification and verify clinical history, ensuring confidentiality.
• Apply imaging protocols, optimize technical factors, and follow ALARA principles to maximize patient safety and care.
• Prepare and/or administer medications via vascular access as prescribed, documenting activities.
• Evaluate images for proper positioning and quality, ensuring proper data storage and transfer.
• Educate and monitor students and healthcare providers during fluoroscopic and specialized procedures, including outside of radiology settings.
