Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Radiologic Technologist for the Navicent Health Medical Center Radiology: Xray department. This full-time role involves performing radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures, patient verification, and coordinating with radiologists.

Work schedule includes weekdays with 7:30a-6:00p times in the diagnostic department. Required ARRT-radiologic tech education, registry eligibility within 1 year, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• ARRT-recognized Radiologic Technology program graduate.
• Must be registry eligible with registry completion within 1 year of hire date.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Performs and assists with radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures.
• Documents patient history pertaining to specific procedure on requisition submitted by physician.
• Confirms patient identification by verbal confirmation and validating proof of identity.
• Prepares and administers contrast media as required.
• Consults with radiologist and other physicians as necessary.
• Selects and operates equipment as dictated by demands of individual procedure and demonstrates correct and adequate anatomic positioning skills.
• Maintains appropriate records as required by departmental standards.
