Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ARRT-recognized Radiologic Technology program.
• Must be registry eligible with registry completion within 12 months of hire; BLS required.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Physical ability to assist patients and operate radiographic equipment.

Responsibilities

• Escorts patients, guests and visitors to destinations using ambulatory equipment, beds, cribs and stretchers.
• Uses hospital paging and telephone systems to manage transport orders and track jobs.
• Assists nursing and clinical staff with transferring patients from bed to transport equipment.
• Transports and orients patients to rooms and departments; verifies outpatient registrations.
• Retrieves and stores transport equipment as needed.
