Job summary

UPMC Northwest in Seneca, PA seeks a Diagnostic Technologist to perform ionizing radiation imaging procedures with minimal supervision, ensuring patient safety and high-quality images.

The role requires ARRT registry eligibility and completion of an ARRT-approved program, with BLS/CPR certification, and a commitment to professional care.

Full-time, variable shifts including weekends and holidays; sign-on bonus up to $10,000 with two-year commitment.

Qualifications

• ARRT registry eligible or certified in radiologic technology.
• Graduate of an ARRT-approved School of Radiologic Technology.
• BLS/CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Identify patients with two identifiers and follow universal protocols.
• Review orders and history to optimize image quality.
• Document history and clinical information in EMR.
• Administer oral/rectal contrast per orders.
• Perform radiography procedures independently per protocol.
• Operate imaging equipment to acquire and document data.
• Code, track, and charge examinations via RIS and ISITE.
• Adjust imaging protocols using independent judgment.
• Explain procedures to patients and address concerns.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and staff for care.
• Demonstrate professionalism and patient-focused service.
• Maintain high standards of image quality and safety.
