Job summary

UPMC in Erie, PA is seeking a full-time Diagnostic Technologist to perform imaging procedures with initiative and independent judgment. You will work closely with radiologists and imaging staff to ensure high-quality imaging for accurate diagnoses.

Graduate of an ARRT approved Radiologic Technology program with registry eligibility is required; CPR/BLS is mandatory. Training includes progression on a 3-tier ladder and potential loan repayment opportunities.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ARRT approved school of Radiologic Technology.
• ARRT Registry eligible and must obtain radiography registry within 6 months for some hires or within 12 months if hired earlier.
• CPR or BLS required; ARRT certification pursued as part of licensing.

Responsibilities

• Identifies all patients with two identifiers and applies universal protocol for procedures.
• Administers PO and rectal contrast per physician orders.
• Ensures exams are correctly coded and archived via RIS/ISITE systems and charged appropriately.
• Interacts with patients and coworkers with care, dignity, and respect.
