Job summary
Carle Health is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic radiologic procedures for patients of all ages under the direction of a Radiologist. This role requires independent judgment to adapt procedures to obtain precise diagnostic results while maintaining high standards of safety and comfort for patients.
The ideal candidate will be ARRT-certified, hold BLS within 30 days, and possess a radiologic technology credential (Certificate or Associate degree).
Qualifications
- Registered in Radiography (R) by ARRT
- BLS within 30 days by AHA
- Licensed Radiologic Technologist – Radiography (IEMA)
- Certificate/Associate degree in Radiologic Technology
- Related field work experience
Responsibilities
- Performs radiologic diagnostic procedures accurately under the direction of a Radiologist
- Acts as resource for staff; ensures image quality and proper patient identification
- Maintains patient safety and comfort; applies radiation protection measures
- Processes and prepares images and paperwork for timely reporting
- Coordinates patient flow and entry of data into HIS/Radiant/PACS
- Maintains QA/QC programs and safe environment
- Trains technologists/students and supports teamwork within the department
