Job summary

The University of Vermont Health - UVM Medical Center is seeking a Diagnostic Imaging Tech I responsible for operating x-ray equipment to perform routine radiographs across radiology areas, including Orthopedic Clinic, fluoroscopy, and operating room procedures. This role may require varying shifts, weekends, holidays, and on-call duties.

Ideal candidates are ARRT certified and licensed in Vermont, and have completed an accredited radiologic technology program.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program.
• ARRT certification and Vermont state licensure.
• Current Vermont license as radiologic technologist.

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of x-ray equipment to perform routine radiographs.
• Work across Radiology areas including Orthopedic Clinic, fluoroscopy, and operating room procedures.
• Support weekend, holiday, and on-call rotations.
• Work at multiple campuses as required.

Job description

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Diagnostic Imaging Tech I demonstrates knowledge and sense of responsibility in the daily operations of the radiology department. They operate a variety of x-ray equipment to perform routine radiographs in all Radiology areas, including Orthopedic Clinic, Fluoroscopic and Operating Room procedures and the use of the c-arm, according to established practices under the direction of a Radiologist, Supervisor, and Lead Technologists. May be required to work a variety of shifts, at multiple campuses, weekends, holidays, and take call on a rotational basis.

EDUCATION:

Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology approved by CAHEA/JERCT. ARRT certified and licensed with the State of Vermont.

EXPERIENCE:

ARRT certified and hold a current license with the State of Vermont.
