The University of Vermont Health - UVM Medical Center seeks a Diagnostic Imaging Tech I to operate x-ray equipment and perform routine radiographs across Radiology, Orthopedic Clinic, Fluoroscopy, and OR procedures under supervision. Flexibility for various shifts, weekends, holidays, and on-call may be required.

You must be a graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program and ARRT certified with Vermont licensure.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology and ARRT certified with Vermont licensure.
• ARRT certification and Vermont state license required.
• Proficient in operating radiology equipment and ensuring patient safety during imaging procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate x-ray equipment to perform routine radiographs across Radiology areas including Orthopedic Clinic, Fluoroscopy, and Operating Room procedures.
• Work under direction of Radiologist, Supervisor, and Lead Technologists.
• May work various shifts, weekends, holidays, and be on-call as needed.

Job description

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Diagnostic Imaging Tech I demonstrates knowledge and sense of responsibility in the daily operations of the radiology department. They operate a variety of x-ray equipment to perform routine radiographs in all Radiology areas, including Orthopedic Clinic, Fluoroscopic and Operating Room procedures and the use of the c-arm, according to established practices under the direction of a Radiologist, Supervisor, and Lead Technologists. May be required to work a variety of shifts, at multiple campuses, weekends, holidays, and take call on a rotational basis.

EDUCATION:

Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology approved by CAHEA/JERCT. ARRT certified and licensed with the State of Vermont.

EXPERIENCE:

ARRT certified and hold a current license with the State of Vermont.
