Job summary

University of Vermont Medical Center is seeking a qualified Diagnostic Imaging Tech I to operate x-ray equipment and perform routine radiographs across Radiology areas, including Orthopedic Clinic and OR procedures. You will work under the direction of a Radiologist, Supervisor, and Lead Technologists.

The role may require a variety of shifts across multiple campuses, including weekends, holidays, and on-call rotations, with state licensure and ARRT certification as prerequisites.

Qualifications

• ARRT certified and licensed in Vermont.
• Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology approved by CAHEA/JERCT.

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of x-ray equipment to perform routine radiographs.
• Support in Orthopedic Clinic, Fluoroscopic and Operating Room procedures; utilize c-arm as directed.
• Report to Radiologist, Supervisor, and Lead Technologists; work varying shifts and may be on-call.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Diagnostic Imaging Tech I demonstrates knowledge and sense of responsibility in the daily operations of the radiology department. They operate a variety of x-ray equipment to perform routine radiographs in all Radiology areas, including Orthopedic Clinic, Fluoroscopic and Operating Room procedures and the use of the c-arm, according to established practices under the direction of a Radiologist, Supervisor, and Lead Technologists. May be required to work a variety of shifts, at multiple campuses, weekends, holidays, and take call on a rotational basis.

EDUCATION:

Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology approved by CAHEA/JERCT. ARRT certified and licensed with the State of Vermont.

EXPERIENCE:

ARRT certified and hold a current license with the State of Vermont.
