Job summary

The University of Vermont Medical Center is seeking a Diagnostic Imaging Tech I to perform routine radiographs across Radiology areas, including Orthopedic Clinic, Fluoroscopy, and Operating Room procedures.

Under supervision, you will operate x-ray equipment, ensure high-quality images, and follow safety protocols. You may work varied shifts at multiple campuses with on-call responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology approved by CAHEA/JERCT.
• ARRT certified and licensed with the State of Vermont.

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of x-ray equipment to perform routine radiographs in all Radiology areas (Orthopedic Clinic, Fluoroscopic and Operating Room procedures).
• Work under the direction of a Radiologist, Supervisor, and Lead Technologists.
• May be required to work shifts at multiple campuses, weekends, holidays, and take call on a rotational basis.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Diagnostic Imaging Tech I demonstrates knowledge and sense of responsibility in the daily operations of the radiology department. They operate a variety of x-ray equipment to perform routine radiographs in all Radiology areas, including Orthopedic Clinic, Fluoroscopic and Operating Room procedures and the use of the c-arm, according to established practices under the direction of a Radiologist, Supervisor, and Lead Technologists. May be required to work a variety of shifts, at multiple campuses, weekends, holidays, and take call on a rotational basis.

EDUCATION

Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology approved by CAHEA/JERCT. ARRT certified and licensed with the State of Vermont.

EXPERIENCE

ARRT certified and hold a current license with the State of Vermont.
